This has become even more apparent in South Africa due to the country’s large and industrial economies being energy insecure as a result of an intermittent electricity supply from the national Utility. Maatla Energy Resources serves as an aiding ally to affected industries in need of small-scale power generation.
Maatla Energy Resources has successfully partnered with Barloworld/CAT as our OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) allowing us the ability to tailor our electricity generation solutions to our clients. This partnership has empowered Maatla Energy Resources to operate as an IPP (Independent Power Producer) with fair and competitive PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) offering to our clients, both private and government.
Maatla Energy Resources offers expert Energy Project Management services through our dedicated Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion. Our PMO oversees the entire project lifecycle, managing risks, timelines, and compliance to deliver efficient, reliable energy solutions. With strategic partnerships, including collaborations with leading OEMs and international LNG suppliers, we provide tailored energy generation projects that align with client needs, whether for private enterprises or government entities.
Maatla Energy Resources has also established an international LNG supply agreement with TCRK LNG. TCRK is a London based LNG supply company specifically focused on the delivery of conventional and small-scale LNG opportunities. This allows our solution to include the power generation technology and gas feedstock through our supply partnership for clients who don’t already have gas reserves.

Maatla Energy Resources has formed a strategic partnership with MaAfric Energy & Water Solutions, a leading provider of comprehensive services in the energy sector, offering expertise in cylinder supply, warehousing, cylinder refuelling, wholesale and distribution, and the management of depots and kiosks. Through this partnership, we gain access to advanced digital tools for project management, logistics, fuel supply, and maintenance.
